Vocaloid Cosplay PV pimps

Soundless Voice

I have the bad habit of leaving the music on whenever and wherever, as long as I can have it on. Sometimes I don't really even listen but I just need something to block out the distractions. My favourite song of that period would dominate my playlist and be on infinite loop. This is the song at the moment. Hahaa !

It's queer how when Reiko first pimped this same video to me long time ago, I didn't really bother much with it. But after listening to Barushie's version, I'm totally hook. Gotta love these fansingers.

And Touya Hibiki has got to be my new Cosplay Idol (if not first). She looks really good here! And she really does look like a guy/boy here @_@ It's so unfair! How can someone look so good in both genders! God is unfair!

Canterella

The Kaito is sexy :D Miku is chio. Nuff said!

Insomniac

Dancesite of Darkness

I dun care wad ppl say abt rereading old series. I just like it ToT!!!

Ahhhhhhhhhh kenshin is loveee! Can i just jump into the book and hug him from behind NAO?! Now on vol 16. Kenshin vs Soujirou.

And argh! A good story is a good story. Why should age or format of presentation matter?

I understand everyone likes new stuffs but why should reminisicing the past be bad? Why should rereading an old series be seen as.... I dunno, weird?

And why should mangas/comics/anime be forever deemed 'childish' or 'unpresentable' because it was designed for teenagers?

*shrug* I guess I'm just an oddball. Don't mind my random rambles. Off to read again.

Ps: but seriously, any of you agree with me?

Street Fighter: Legacy (Short Fan Film)

*FOR BEST VIEWING EXPERIENCE, WATCH IN HD AND WITH GOOD SPEAKERS OR HEADPHONES.*

Designing the fights

Costume Design

Training for the fights

Hair & Make Up

Their dedication and professionalism to the film (which is a fan tribute, not really commercially backed, mind you) amazes me.

Its just so awesome to see a bunch of really talented people spinning each of their magic. The vibe of their talent resonance, catalyze and echoes each other and finally, form this amazing piece of art.

Seriously, they inspire me to do more with my own Cosplays Art. I suddenly feel so fired up! I WANT MOREWEEE!!!!

Kipi speaks mandarin!

Thanks to sasukesloverin’s upload (which looked like it originally came from tudou). Here is the much hailed cosplay goddess speaking mandarin! What a surprise!

I have no idea when this was filmed but for those of you who don’t understand mandarin, look below for my translation.

“Happy New Year to everyone, I'm Kipi.  Chinese New Year is just around the corner and Kipi is here to offer her greetings. Kipi wishes everyone good health, prosperity and may you be happy everyday. Please continue to support Kipi’s cosplays”

I cringed at her mandarin pronounciations but I liked how she spoke japanese. No act-cute syndrome. Me likes :D

How I made my SnS Alastor Necklace

First off, let me declare that this is not a full blown tutorial. I didn’t take much pictures during the making of the necklace and I definitely won’t be doing another one soon. So, this would just be a short entry to share some tips and insights for people who are interested in making one themselves.

P1060532

 Materials Needed:

  1. Coloured Wires (Silver & Gold)
  2. Gem
  3. Wire Cutter
  4. Adhesive Foil
  5. Pen & Paper
  6. Clear Scotch tape

Firstly, if you don’t have a gem and wants to know how to make one. I suggest you watch this video I made.

P1060394

After you get your ‘gemstone’ (or maybe I should call it ‘Alastor’ xD), trace the outline of the gem on a piece of paper.  The purpose of tracing the outline of the gem is to give yourself a visual guideline on how to bend and sculpt your wires later.

P1060531

The frame of the necklace is made with coloured wires I bought from daiso. They were manually twisted with my trusty fingers and wire cutter.

I didn’t managed to get silver coloured wires so I had to paint over my gold one afterwards. If you managed to get the wires in 2 different colours, then for the main frame, you should use the silver coloured one.

P1060381

Above is a picture of my wire (which is half sculpted) stuck to the paper with a traced outline of my gem.

The key here is to use the tracings on the paper as a guideline and bend your wire slowly along the line. To make this process more manageable, at every step of the way, I stuck the sculpted part of the wire onto the paper with clear tape. This is to make sure that my wire will follow the outline nicely and I won’t have to struggle with slipping paper or wire. This is a process you should proceed slowly and carefully =)

  P1060382

I don’t really know to describe how I did the ‘frame’ of the necklace so… you guys will have to try and figure that part out from the photos.

P1060383

P1060385 This is how the wires looked from below.

Twist the wires as needed and when you are done with everything, stick the adhesive foil onto the back.

P1110745P1110748 P1110751P1110752

Here are some pictures of my pendent’s very ugly backside (oops, pun not intended xD) This is how it looks like after I stuck the adhesive foil onto it. The main purpose of the adhesive foil is to prevent the rough ends of the wires from scratching it’s wearer. It has a more domestic than aesthetic purpose.

Alright, this marks the end of my sharing entry. Hope this entry was insightful enough to give you guys a head start =) Comment if you liked this entry ^_^!

Costume prepping!

Ahhh.... I really should stop this procrastinating bad habit of mine. Am doing the final ouches of my costume for the shoot tomorrow ... And failing badly.

I once again deeply realise how important planning is to costume making. Whenever i blindly/rashly execute something, I end up screwing it up =.=

Alright, enough rambling. I'm off to do my stuffs!
